If you’re working with your clients to reschedule their upcoming weddings, you’re probably running into the same issue other pros are facing: finding a new date that works for everyone’s schedules. We surveyed more than 1,000 engaged couples with weddings planned in 2020 to see how they’re adjusting their wedding plans during COVID-19, and we know that 96% of couples with upcoming weddings are rescheduling instead of canceling. This is exciting news for the industry, but it also means you’ll be rescheduling upcoming events on top of a busy fall season.
Thankfully, we have your solution: The Knot Rescheduler and WeddingWire Rescheduler. These incredible new tools allow couples to share their short list of dates with their entire vendor team to narrow down the best overlap and start the conversation to find a new option. Here’s how The Knot and WeddingWire Rescheduler tools simplify and manage this process.
1. View Multiple Date Options From Your Couples
Couples who log into their accounts on The Knot (an account is not needed) and WeddingWire can select up to 6 potential new dates for their postponed wedding and send you a link via email to review. You’ll get visibility into their top dates and be better prepared to provide your availability. This function saves you and your couples from the endless back-and-forth of “when are you free?” emails.
Pro Tip: If couples are committed to getting married in 2020, you can encourage them that weekday dates (if you are available) may allow them to host their wedding this year.
2. Organize Your Availability in One Place
Now you can quickly and easily share your open dates with your couples. Based on the proposed options, simply select the dates you are available. Sharing availability is a great starting point for postponement conversations. Narrowing down the best date(s) will jumpstart the rescheduling process. The best part?! If your availability changes, you can resubmit your updated availability through the original link sent via email, and it will overwrite your previous answers.
Pro Tip: Make sure to update your availability if a date no longer works for you, so you empower your couples to pick a new date if needed.
3. Determine the Best New Date for the Entire Vendor Team
Your couples will be able to see all responses from the wedding pros they’ve hired in one place. For example, before they decide on a new wedding date, they’ll be able to check with each and every vendor that is responsible for creating a piece of their big day.
Pro Tip: Encourage your clients to use the tool to collect all vendors’ availability (with real-time updates as other events move) before confirming their new date.
